Unfortunately, Rachel just mumbled, “Lucas eats that much too. Looks like I got carried away and did it out of habit when I put the spaghetti on your plate.”
Edmund’s hopes collapsed again. Disappointment was clear on his face, and Hunter noticed it.
“Sky, would you like to lead a prayer?” he asked, changing the subject.
Sky’s eyes lit up. “Yes! Let’s start praying.”
She brought her hands together, lowered her head, and closed her eyes.
