Chapter 113. Weekend
Aaron POV
I watched as she frowned at the shrimp on her plate. I recognized that look.
“What’s wrong? You don’t like them?” I asked. She stared at me for a moment before shaking her head.
“No, I…” she trailed off, then sighed. “I’m just thinking about the man I saw earlier when we walked in. He was standing by the wall, and when I looked again... poof. He was gone.”
I pressed my lips together. That was a little strange, but maybe she was overthinking it.
“He’s probably just some random guy,” I said. She pursed her lips and gave a distant nod.
I tilted my head, watching her. Her hair was down, framing her face beautifully and making her green eyes pop against her red dress. They looked stunning.
“Your food’s getting cold,” I said quietly. She glanced at me, then looked down at her plate.
Alright. It was time to leave—she was clearly no longer comfortable here.
I signaled for the waiter. She raised a brow as he approached.
