Joan POV

I checked myself in the mirror again for the umpteenth time and caught Aaron shaking his head from the corner of my eye.

“You know, it’s just Adrian and his wife... you don’t have to do all that,” he said, and I nodded.

“Yeah? First impressions matter,” I shot back before turning around to stare at him, placing both hands on my waist.

“How do I look?” I asked, and he perked up on the bed where he sat, shirtless and in just a pair of pants.

His eyes traveled slowly down my body before returning to meet mine.

“Hot. Just as always,” he muttered, and I smiled, giving a nod.

“And my bump?” I asked, and he sighed.

“It’s not that obvious anymore,” he said, and I gave another nod. Okay, then. Perfect.
