After Gery's return, Mrs. Kate immediately closed the door and rushed into her daughter's room. The middle-aged woman seated herself right next to her daughter. 

"Is he really the one who came, Mom?" Eve asked with a curious look on her face. 

Mrs. Kate nodded firmly, "Of course. Who else could it be?" 

"Why don't you want to meet him and listen to all his explanations first? So that this matter can be resolved quickly, Eve," added Mrs. Kate again.
