“Miss Allianna Gregorio, do you want Mr. and Mrs. Quinter to be your guardian?” the judge asked me.
“Yes,” I answered with a smile.
Finally, my difficult life was over. From that moment on, my life would change again, and I would be even happier when I met the children of my parents’ friends. I hoped they would not be like those in jail with bad behavior but more like the children in the orphanage, who, even if they had problems, were always happy. Perhaps their children were kind and cheerful because their parents were like that.
“Mr. And Mrs. Quinter, do you accept Miss Allianna Gregorio as your ward?” the judge asked.
“Yes, your honor,” they replied. When the judge said I was going to live with my parents’ friends, the couple hugged me.
“Finally, we’ve waited a year for this, and now you can come to us,” Mrs. Quinter said while hugging me. So, I hugged them back.
