Chapter 113. Danger Ahead!

Elyon’s POV

A notification came in on my phone that was in the back pocket of my pants. At the moment, I was lying on a lounger next to the pool in Paxton. Becca didn't show up today again; she was doing really badly for a Luna. There was no sign of the Luna's expected kindness to her guests, which was not really surprising.

I knew she couldn't handle Johnston's mate, and Xena was her nemesis. Lance left this morning with his mate; he didn't want to be away from home too long now that his wife needed a lot of rest. A pity, because Elise and Becca were best friends.

Alex and I were now watching Xena and Marelva playing in the pool. Johnston was on an inspection round and could be back any minute. That poor man. He barely managed to save his life yesterday afternoon. I still didn't quite understand what happened in Alex's office; both refused to tell the story.

I was on my way to my apartment when I heard the noise coming from the pack.
