At last, I reached the apartment.

Situated in a tidy neighborhood, the area features well-kept buildings. Within walking distance lies a park with a pond where children play together as their parents either read or engage in conversation on nearby benches.

Everything radiates serenity and calmness.

I pull into the driveway and remain in the car for a moment, absorbing my surroundings. Following Jonas's instructions, I exit the vehicle and approach the neighboring house. After knocking on the door, it's opened by a blonde woman with light blue eyes.

"You must be Becca. Jonas mentioned you'd be arriving today," she said warmly as I approached. "Welcome to Park Slope, the finest neighborhood in Brooklyn."
