I pace around the room, still wearing my wedding gown, the lace and silk now rumple and uncomfortably plastered to my skin. I should have been celebrating, soaking in the warmth from the memories of a perfect night. Instead, I was all alone.

All because of her.

Layla.

She once took everything away from me. Now she is trying to take my husband.

I clenched my jaw and sat down reluctantly, shaking my fingers ready to pick up my phone. My gaze fell upon my reflection. I didn’t look like a bride. I looked like a woman on the edge.

But I will not just sit idle and cry. No, this isn’t going to fix anything.
