Chapter 84. Because of You

Orion’s POV

I sat in my study, staring blankly at the computer screen. The numbers made no sense to me, a large sum was missing from one of my business accounts. I checked again, refreshing the page in case it was an error of some sort. It wasn’t.

The money was transferred late last night. To a private account, I had no record of. The time of the transfer was spot-on with the night of the wedding.

My gut churned.

This wasn’t some kind of freak accident.

I got up and slammed my laptop shut. As far as I know, the only other person who had access to that account beside myself was one person.

Grace.

I went straight to the bedroom. She sat on the bed, still in her silk robe, scrolling through her phone as if everything were peachy fine—as if she had not just stolen from me.

“Grace,” I said, sharply.

She tilted her head up, surprised by my tone. “What?”

“We need to talk. Now.”
