Chapter 20. Hair Tie

"Ah!" I screamed with my eyes tightly shut, clutching onto the metal rail. "Please, stop! I don't want to ride this... anymore!"

My heart raced at an incredible speed as I felt every drop and ascent of the roller coaster we were riding. I could barely hear anything over the rush of wind hitting us, but Roy's laughter beside me was unmistakable. He seemed to be enjoying it; of course, he was the one who convinced me to get on this ride!

"Relax!" I heard him shout, and I felt his tight grip on my hands. Out of fear, I held onto him even tighter.

"You jerk!" I yelled at him.

I couldn't bring myself to let go of his hand until the ride was over, partly due to fear, but we eventually separated when we finally got off. I was feeling so nauseous. I ran to a distance where there was grass and sat down to let out what I had been holding in since earlier.

"I'm going to kill you when I'm done here—"

"What?" he teased, still patting my back
