Chapter 21. Intoxicated
"Ina," Roy whispered, gently tapping my cheek.
I woke up and rubbed my eyes sleepily.
"Yuck! You're drooling. It's dripping, Ina," he said, wrinkling his nose as I quickly wiped my face. I shot him a disapproving look.
"Get down. You're just sleeping," he said with a laugh.
Still groggy, I got out of the car and looked around. The moon provided enough light for us to see, but there were no other lights around. I followed him, and stopped when he did. I slipped my hands inside my jacket like he did while gazing at the view. I couldn't hide my awe when I looked below, where the houses and the lights illuminated the streets. Above us, the moon and the stars created a breathtaking sight.
"Do you like it?" he asked.
I remained quiet and after a while, nodded, still fixated on the scenery. We seemed to be on a hill or a mountain, as there was no one else around. There were only a few trees not far from us and some Bermuda grass th
