Chapter 88. DNA

Days passed after our argument with Carl, and he decided to play hard to get, not acknowledging my presence. I was also feeling uncomfortable because Amari was with us at home. Neither of us had apologized.

I knew deep down that I hadn't done anything wrong, so if anyone should apologize, it should be him, as he was the one who suddenly picked a fight.

I found myself contemplating whether I should proceed with the wedding. If this was happening now, how would it be once we were married and living together as husband and wife?

Sometimes, it seemed like he was reluctant to even ride home with me, and I felt like he was blaming me for something.

Frustrated, I couldn't take it anymore and left without a word. It was time to head home.

I picked up Amari and we ate out because I didn't have the energy to cook. We went to bed early, and what annoyed me even more was that it seemed like he didn't care when morning came.

He was really not giving me any attention!
