Chapter 93. Office
It had been a week, but I still couldn't get him to speak with me. We were living in the same house, and working in the same building, but finding the right time to have a conversation was proving to be difficult.
"Is this how it's going to be all the time? You're here, yet at the same time, you're not. How are we supposed to fix this if you don't want to cooperate?" I vented my frustration.
I grabbed the coat he was holding, as he seemed like he was about to leave again. It felt as if I had a leash on him, and he wanted to get away.
"There's nothing to fix, Dianna," he said.
"What? Is that it then?" I asked with a hint of laughter.
This time, he turned to look at me. "What else is there to talk about? Are you going to deny now that Amari isn't Roy's child? That the DNA test result I saw that day was just made up by Roy? That he's lying? What else do you want to discuss?" He raised an eyebrow and questioned me.
