Chapter 23

Zea's POV

“W-We have to get out of here,” Anny stuttered next to me, barely audible, and lightly poked me in the side.

Oh no, really?

By now there were so many men surrounded that it was impossible to run through any of the gaps, even at above-average speed.

I wasn't worried about myself. Why, I was human, apart from the few evolutionary gifts and eternal life. I was much more worried about Anny, who was standing next to me in fear.

Her mate was an alpha and if these guys found out, they would use Anny for their purposes.

"Have we left you speechless?" hissed the leader of the troop with his arms folded. He was almost as pale as Anny, but his white hair made his sky-blue eyes shine. He looked like a god.

"Nene, you don't look that good now," I blurted out, but I didn't miss the opportunity to stare at him again with a flattering look. Yes, the boy was worth a look or two.

“So gentlemen, how can we help you?” I then ask
