“Not like it’s any of your business,” I hissed. I am sick and tired of them all mocking me or trying to push me around.
I am sure he must be one of the happiest now that Ryder couldn’t recognize me and besides not when their friendship seemed to be back.
“It’s my business because you are our future queen,” he said and I didn’t know when I let out a laugh, a bitter, saddening one at that.
I bite my lips, trying to stop the tears that had already pooled in my eyes not to drop. Really? Me, his sudden queen?

“Why am I even standing here to talk to you in the first place?” I hissed and took a step to walk away. Just three steps away, his deep voice blurted, his words somehow stopping me on my track.
