Nina POV
“Can you connect with his lycan?” I asked the most stupid question ever. How do I expect a wolf and a Lycan to connect when I still don’t have the balls to connect with his human?
But Leah answered anyway. She rolled her eyes and replied back the word that I expected.
“No,” she said before she dropped the statement that I had always struggled to bury.
“I can still feel the bond with Jasper. Not much, but it is still there.”
“Leah…” I began, but my words were instantly shut down as the door creaked open.
“Ryder!” I mumbled softly to hide the anguish in my voice.
But he didn’t say anything and just hurried over. He pulled me into a tight hug and buried his head on my neck. My breath caught in my throat. I froze, feeling a quick spark rush down my spine at the sudden body contact.
