Chapter 43. Blindfolded

The bed in the room was a sight to behold. It was the center of attention, standing tall and regal with its intricately carved headboard and footboard. The fabric canopy draped down, adding a touch of elegance to the already luxurious bed.

I gasped in surprise as Mavis lifted me effortlessly off the ground, his arms wrapped firmly around my waist. He carried me toward the bed like a prize.

I felt a sudden desire as he laid me gently on the soft mattress, his eyes filled with an intensity that took my breath away.

“You are so beautiful,” he said. “I’ve waited so long for this moment.”

He made toward the box he brought in earlier and began to pick out the items in it.

Mavis moved away from the bed, his eyes never leaving my face. He reached for the box that he had brought earlier, and I watched with anticipation as he began to remove items one after another.
