Chapter 18. Why Is This Happening to Me?

Jennifer’s POV

“Can you stop?” I irritably asked Bob, who had been looking at me for the previous fifteen minutes; we both had the same free time and chose to go to the library and complete this idiotic project; I wanted to change my partner, but Mr. Jerus said I couldn’t, so I’m stuck with this guy.

I even asked Reyna, Tommy’s partner, to accompany me to the library so I wouldn’t be alone with him, but she had Chemistry class and Tommy had football practice.

“With what?” the irritating jackass in front of me inquired. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to relax. I’m about to punch him in the face, and the worst part is that he knows I want to kick his ass and yell at him, but I can’t because we’re in the library, and I follow the rules. And for the last fifteen minutes, this idiot jackass had a sneer on his face.

“Staring at me,” I said through gritted teeth. He chuckled.

“I’m sorry, little fox,” he smirked.

“I just can’t help myself.
