Chapter 28
Faith’s POV
That’s when I realized that, apart from being talkative, he was nice and fun to be with. We never ran out of topics, and I really enjoyed his company. It was 8 p.m. when I asked to go home. He drove me in his car.
“Thank you for the treat,” I said as the two of us stood in front of the big building where Martin’s unit was.
“It’s nothing. I’m grateful because you accepted my friend’s request.” That’s when I remembered I had accepted it. I smiled. “Go inside. You have to be at the office early tomorrow.”
“Alright, thanks again. Take care.” He turned toward the car and opened the driver’s side door. I even waved at him before he finally left. I went inside, smiling at everyone I met, until I was in front of Martin’s door. I searched for my key in my bag and slid it into the lock.
