Faith’s POV
I kissed him again.
“It’s okay now?” He shook his head again.
“More.”
I smacked him lightly on the arm, and he laughed.
“You’re fooling me!” I said, frowning.
He laughed again and hugged me. Then he looked straight into my eyes, then down at my lips.
A moment later, our lips touched. The kiss was gentle, full of care.
“I love you,” he said after pulling back.
Did I hear that right?
“Huh?” I couldn’t believe what I just heard. He laughed and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
“Never mind. Janice’s taking too long.” He stood up and grabbed his phone from his pocket.
“Who?” I asked.
“Janice. I sent her here so you’d have someone with you.”
“You’re leaving? I thought you wanted to take care of me.” I said with a pout, even snorting to show him I was sulking.
He sat back down and held my hand. “Yes, but I just need to talk to someone, then I’ll be back here. Promise!” He even raise
