Chapter 32
Jason’s POV
We all looked at each other before turning our attention to the woman who had just arrived.
“Are you really Faith’s mom?” Brent asked.
The woman nodded and faced the doctor. “How is my daughter? Is she alright?”
We were all tense, waiting for the doctor to answer.
“She’s stable now. She’ll be transferred to a private room soon. But I must tell you—the patient’s condition is dangerous.”
“Why? What’s happening to her?” Martin asked.
I wanted to laugh at his expression—his forehead wrinkled, his face impossible to read.
“Didn’t you know? She’s three weeks pregnant.”
“T-three weeks?”
“Yes. Now, if there’s nothing else, I’ll leave you. Just wait for the nurses to call when she’s settled in the ward. Excuse me,” said the doctor.
I stepped back and shot Martin a glare.
This dude was smiling. I knew it. There’s really something between these two.
