Chapter 36
Faith’s POV
Janice was helping me get dressed. I was about to leave the hospital. The doctor didn’t want me discharged, but I insisted. I wanted to go to the hospital where my son Sean was confined. My heart leapt when my phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Honey, are you okay? I’m coming up.”
I smiled, knowing he was close. “Yes. I’m excited. Hurry up,” I answered.
“Alright. I have something for you.”
That made me even more excited. “What is it?” I asked, glancing at Janice, who was stacking our bags.
“Just wait for me.”
“Alright. Hurry!” I said softly.
I heard him chuckle over the line. “I’m here,” Martin panted as he opened the door, phone still against his ear, his chest rising and falling. “Hi!” He came to me and kissed me on the lips.
“Oh, good thing you’re here. Do you know your girlfriend was just fighting with me, looking for you?” Janice said with a snort.
Martin only smiled.
