Third-Person POV
Nine years later…
Faith had a wide smile on her lips as she looked at Martin, Sean, and Sienna in the living room. They were watching their favorite movie series. She was holding a bowl full of freshly cooked popcorn that she had topped with a lot of cheese because that was what her children and her husband wanted.
“Mommy, is that for us? I’m hungry. It smells good,” asked her fifteen-year-old son. He was sitting next to Martin, while on the other side was the youngest child, Sienna—nine years old.
Faith immediately came over and stood next to her husband with a smile on her lips. “It’s a little hot,” she told them. She turned to her husband when she felt a tickle under her ear. “Dad,” she said, then turned to him.
“You smell good,” he whispered. Faith even felt his nose brush against her neck.
She laughed, then nodded slightly. “Yes. I smell like popcorn, don’t I?” she said, making Martin laugh too.
