Chapter 16
Bryon walked into his room. It was a safe place away from the world where he could be himself free and allowed to love whom he wanted. Saisron was his family’s estate away from the royal palace. It was tucked into the glass-filled mountain. These parts had served as hideouts for the devout priestesses. That changed when they were found and killed by his grandfather. The rest had learned to hide better.
And it was in one of those hideouts he’d met her, Nylaya, hiding deep in the mountains with her family. He strode hurriedly toward their chambers. It was a simple room with little wood and stone with large glass walls taking up the whole room.
“Nylaya, love, I am here,” he whispered, and the glass started to sparkle, simmering like it was about to boil, and then her features became visible—beautiful brown hair that framed her face highlighting hazel eyes that seemed to speak of her love for him.
“Bryon, you were gone a long time,” she whispered softly, a smile
