Chapter 15

Aleks rapped at the door again, barely holding in check his annoyance. This was crazy. India didn’t belong to him. She had the right to date whoever the hell she wanted, but the fact that she was with Sean was eating at him. 

When she’d come to the station, he was relieved. He’d planned to see her later and apologize, but she’d beat him to it, so he’d offered dinner, and she had told him of her plans with Sean. He loved the man like a brother, but at that moment, he had been ready to knock him out. 

He’d gone home promising himself not to do anything stupid, but he’d ended up in front of her place just in time to watch her hug his friend and partner. Irrational rage had consumed him, along with an emotion he preferred not to acknowledge. The door swung open, and he saw her bright green eyes and shiny hair atop her head.

“Aleksandr,” she sighed softly.

“Can I come in?” he grunted. She nodded, moving aside to let him in.
