Chapter 104. Bloody Mess

The air was a little cooler than it was in the afternoon. My dress swayed to the direction of the wind. I hadn’t thought the place could get any better until that evening. It looked almost magical.
Scott held my hand and directed me to the little restaurant I hadn’t realized was in the villa. The rooftop was made of thatch, but inside was a beautiful wooden ceiling.
We were guided to our reserved table.
“Scott!”
A familiar voice called out. We both turned to the direction of the voice.
Scott’s jaw tightened. I could feel the tension in his body.
“Ignore them,” he ordered. Taking my hand, he guided me to the table, helping me to my seat.
