Chapter 8. Financial Dilemma

Linda's POV

Did this woman just ask me for money? The manager of all the workers of one of the biggest hotels in the country just asked me for money?

“You know…as an incentive,” Nora said before giving me a wink. “It’s only fair since I would be putting my job and reputation on the line for you,” She added when she noticed I had not responded yet. 

Money was not the issue, I had a lot of that in my account. 

But my problem here was using it. I had a fair share of cash in my name but most of it was from Chris, a lot in his name. He had told me to use any of it if I wanted to but still…after what had happened with him cheating on me, I did not want anything to do with him.

“Is the money going to be a problem? Because dear, I can assure you that I have done my research and forty grand is nothing compared to what you and your billionaire husband have.”
