Chapter 50. Council

Xerina’s POV

Papa and I walked back to the room where Mama, Chrissy, and Luca were waiting. Though there were some things I hadn’t told him—like Rasmus and I being mates, or the wolfsbane—I still gathered the courage to tell him whatever I could. I expected him to be mad at me, but instead, he was concerned and even offered to train me.

Mama looked up as we entered, her eyes filled with curiosity. Chrissy and Luca sat nearby, their expressions relaxed but alert.

“Is everything okay?” Mama asked, her voice gentle. Her soft hazel eyes squinted.

Papa gave me an assuring smile, and I felt a warm sense of warmth. “Yes, everything is fine,” he replied. “Xerina and I just needed to have some bonding time.”

Before anyone could say more, the door opened, and a maid entered the room. She bowed respectfully and spoke in a calm, clear voice. “You are all summoned to the meeting room. Alpha requests your presence immediately.”
