Chapter 49. An Attack

Draco’s POV

I picked up my pen and wrote something down, as I continued going through the documents that were on my desk.

The door suddenly creaked open, I turned to face the door, I saw Liam walk in and I continued with what I was doing.

“She is here,” Liam said.

“Okay, let her in,” I replied, not raising my head.

Liam left the office. Later, the door opened again. Liam came back in with a young woman. She looked messy and dirty. Her clothes were torn and her face was smudged. She looked very different from Liam, who looked neat and clean.

“Why didn’t you give her a nice bath and a good dress before bringing her,” I said my voice a little higher than normal.

“I can’t believe you brought her here in this state!” I asked, my tone hinting at my disbelief.

“I’m sorry, they just brought her in and I felt like you wanted to see her first,”I replied.

“Please sit down,” I said gently, pointing to the chair in front of my desk.
