Chapter 31. We Have Met Before

Emma’s POV

“This is Alpha Duncan of the Paxton Pack,” Ethan tells me and I am stunned into silence.

Ethan nudges me in the back and it breaks me out of my stunned silence. “It is nice to meet you,” I say quietly. I cannot help but wonder if he knows who I am.

“We have met before,” Alpha Duncan says with a smile on his face. “Except you were very small and I doubt that you would remember.”

“I don’t remember, Alpha. I am sorry,” I reply quietly.

“No need to be sorry,” Alpha Duncan responds with a smile on his face. “You were only a baby.”

“Oh,” I say quietly. “I must have been before...” I am not brave enough to finish the sentence.

“Yes,” Alpha Duncan says as he gestures for me to sit down across from him. “It was before you were kidnapped.”

I take the seat across from Alpha Duncan and stare at him with curiosity. He looks so familiar. As I stare at him he looks at me with a confused look on his face.
