Chapter 35. Best Friend

Emma’s POV

The annoying sound of my alarm wakes me from the most wonderful dream. I was dreaming that Ethan decided to stay with me after the year was over and we had a bunch of little pups running around. Looking over my shoulder I see that Ethan is still fast asleep with his arms tightly wrapped around me. The more I try to pry his arms from around me the tighter he holds me.

“Ethan,” I whisper as I struggle against his hold. “I have training.”

“Stay,” Ethan says half asleep.

“Oh no,” I protest. “I am not running laps again because of you. Daniel runs a tight ship.”

Ethan groans in protest as he finally unwraps his arms from around me. “Fine,” he growls.

Placing a swift kiss on his forehead, I spring from the bed and quickly dress in a sports bra and a pair of leggings. Checking the time I realize that I am going to be late.

“Shit,” I mumble to myself as I run out of the Pack House and down to the training grounds.
