Chapter 36. The Betrayal

Ethan’s POV

Emma crawls out of my arms and I immediately feel empty. I have never felt like this before. Not even with Emily. It is time that I face the truth and realize that I am falling for Emma. In fact, I think I already have. I am in love with Emma Paxton.

Jumping out of bed I realize that I need to tell her. I need her to know how I feel so when the end of the year comes around she doesn’t think that I am going to leave her.

Throwing on some clothes, I open my bedroom door only to find Emily waiting for me on the other side.

“What are you doing up here?” I ask in a frustrated tone.

“I never needed an invitation before,” Emily says as she strolls into my bedroom and takes a seat by the fireplace.

“Well,” I grunt. “You need one now. You are no longer welcome in this room.”
