Chapter 33. All the Naughty Things

Emma’s POV

Ethan and I walk out of the town hall, me with my shoes in my hand.

“You really aren’t going to walk back to the Pack House barefooted are you?” Ethan says with a concerned look on his face.

“It is literally just across the street,” I laugh as I step on the rough road.

“Nope, nope,” Ethan shakes his head as he pulls me back into the grass in front of the town hall. “I cannot let you ruin your pretty little feet by walking on the rough road.”

“Ethan,” I say as I pull myself out of his grasp. “I just want to go to bed and I don’t want to put these shoes back on my feet. Trust me, they hurt worse than what the road will.”

Grabbing me by the hand, Ethan pulls me back towards him again and my chest comes crashing into his. Scooping me into his arms he carries me bridal style across the road. I try to stick my lower lip out in a pout but I cannot stop myself from giggling as we cross the road.
