Chapter 44. The Rejection Ceremony

Emma’s POV

After hanging up with Alpha Duncan, my stomach feels even more upset than before. I cannot help but wonder what kind of plan Alpha Duncan is going to work out, so I am not followed by Ethan or the pack.

Looking around our room, my eyes fill with tears again. So many memories float to the surface of my mind just being in this room. Suddenly I realize I cannot stay in this room any longer. Grabbing a duffle bag, I go into the closet and begin to throw clothes into it. I don’t even pay attention to what I am tossing in the bag. All I know is that I have to get out of this room.

Tossing the bag over my shoulder I make my way back down to Ethan’s office to ask which of the rooms I can stay in.
