Chapter 46. Two Days Time

Emma’s POV

Reluctantly the doctor releases me from the hospital, but I am under strict instructions not to let myself get worked up anymore. Little does she know that is easier said than done. I think about all of the things that Emily said right before she left and I realize that she might be right. Running might be my only option.

Walking into the pack house, I realize I don’t know where I am supposed to go. I take in a deep sigh and make my way to Ethan’s office once again. Listening outside of the door I don’t hear any raised voices. I knock on the door but there is no response. Placing my hand on the doorknob I twist it and peek my head into the office.

Ethan is sitting with his head in his hands, not paying attention to anything.

“Ethan,” I say softly. “I just need to know where I am saying.”

Ethan raises his head to look at me and his eyes are filled with tears. “I don’t care where you stay,” he says coldly.
