Chapter 66. Proving Herself

A long moment passed with Ayana glaring at the impossible woman while Lyana enjoyed the meal that almost killed her mother from the inside. Why couldn’t the woman just understand and give what Ayana had ordered? Ayana felt a pang of irritation and anger rage within her. She could see just how the woman was demeaning her, and she hated that so much. She had no right to do that.

“Don’t just look at me like that.” The woman scoffed after failing to stand Ayana’s gaze. “Just eat, and if it hurts to say thank you to someone who fed you, just don’t bother.”

Ayan looked at her daughter, and unfortunately, Lyana had already taken a few bites of the delicious shawarma. She did not feel any bitterness towards the kid. She was blameless. It was the woman’s fault for trying to play nice when she was far from the outside. And at the point that she was trying to prove, Ayana was not interested.
