Chapter 25. Disappear
Madison’s POV
Raymond leaned even closer, the space between our bodies almost non-existent. Our breaths intermingled, and I could feel my pulse quickening.
I knew what was going to happen next, and I did not have the repulsive feeling I initially thought I would.
If anything, I felt my nerves kicking at my rationality.
At that moment, our noses brushed against each other and for a moment, I stopped breathing. A hint of anticipation for what was going to happen next lingered in my heart, and I forgot everything.
The outside world faded into nothingness. In this little space, it was just me and… Raymond.
The next second, my eyes fluttered close, and my grip tightened on the fabric of my dress, and I could feel the blood draining from my knuckles.
Just when I thought our lips would clash, I suddenly felt Raymond’s furry head nuzzling against my collarbone like a puppy, and my eyes flashed open in surprise.
“Madison.” He whispered,
