Chapter 5. No Longer a Bully, Just an Asshole
I awoke to the smell of bacon. I was drooling on my pillow and groggily looked around. I remembered I was at Austin’s condo in the city. I sat up and felt a light throbbing in my head.
“Mh. Seems I did not drink enough water last night,” I scolded myself. I got out of bed and made my way to Austin’s kitchen. I was happy to see Austin was awake and alert. He looked as if he had recently showered and wore a fitted gray t-shirt and blue-gray skinny jeans.
“There is a glass of water on the counter and some Tylenol,” Austin said without looking at me.
“Thanks,” I smiled as I grabbed the water and took the painkiller. “I did not drink enough water last night,” I chuckled. “I ended up getting too caught up taking care of you,” I joked. Austin did not turn to me; however, I saw that his ears were bright red. I smiled to myself. “Do you even remember last night?” I asked him.
