Every single muscle inside his body became instantly tense when he heard Cassandra screaming. Suddenly forgetting about anything else on his mind, he ran towards the direction of her scream, but it seemed to be getting further and further away as he chased after it.

His heart pounded like a drum against his chest, and he didn’t stop running down the hallways until he burst through a couple of doors and found himself standing outside in the parking lot. Then he saw her, and his heart sank instantly at the sight in front of him.

But that feeling lasted only for a brief second before it was overwhelmed by a raging fury that rushed through his entire body, almost as if it had been set on fire.
