Chapter 43

Mo’s Pov:

I stayed at Brenda’s bed side all day, watching her. I remembered the last time I had treated her, Brenda and Dominick were with her day and night. But none of them came; they were all dealing with a crisis including Brenda herself.

But this was the time Brenda needed them more or not. She might not want to see Dominick but she still needed emotional support. So I stayed with her.

I did not say anything to her. I did not know what to say and I was sure she might not respond. She did not say a word either.

I made sure she ate and had her medication though she did not eat much. At night, I decided to take some food to Dominick.

“Brenda,” I touched her softly. “I will be right back okay? I want to go and see Dominick. He has locked himself all day and I am sure so he has not eaten anything so I want to take some food for him.”

I knew it was not necessary telling her all that but I needed her to feel Dominick was sorry for his actions.
