Chapter 41. Family Meeting

“Don’t tell me that your Papa and Mama are Lucas and Wendy?” asked Aleah, a little surprised when the house Rafael referred to as his parents’ house was Lucas’ mansion.

Now all the things that had been nagging at Aleah’s mind had found a common thread. The reason why Aleah disliked Rafael, who was very handsome, had finally found an answer.

At that moment, with her pupils dilated, Aleah looked fearfully at the house. The tightness instantly filled her chest cavity, creating an excruciating tightness. The painful memories of Lucas tore at the wounds she had buried deep.

“Do you know my parents?” Rafael asked back.

Aleah swallowed hard. “So the parents you’re talking about are Lucas and Wendy?”

“Yes,” Rafael replied lightly. “Papa married Wendy’s mom when I was 16.”

“I think we should postpone our meeting
