“You still have one more month before you marry Aleah, Rafel. Don’t you want to rethink your decision?” Wendy tried to persuade her stepson.
“What your mother said is true, son. Think about it, are you willing to marry Aleah? She’s already been married and she’s ten years older than you,” Lucas said.
Rafael, who was enjoying his dinner in front of the television, immediately lost his appetite. He gulped down his cold water before looking at his parents with a lazy gaze.
“When I’ve come this far, it means it’s serious and it’s a final decision that I’ve made consciously. I love Aleah, no matter if she’s a widow and much older than me,” Rafael said firmly.
“But I don’t want you to marry someone else’s ex-wife. People will surely say bad things if your son marries an old woman who is even older than his mother.”
