Chapter 44. Melting Aleah’s Heart

“There are three reputable boutiques that I know that have good dress designs, which one do you want me to choose for you?” asked Wendy in a calm tone. But what Aleah heard was just the opposite, Wendy’s tone sounded very sarcastic and full of mockery.

It felt a little strange, seeing Wendy and Lucas who seemed resigned to the wedding decision that Rafael wanted, although there were still unhappy looks on both of their faces. The corners of Aleah’s lips twitched. She wanted to scoff at Wendy, but she was quite aware that she should not do that when Rafael was among them.

“We don’t need that because I have my wedding dress. It’s never been worn because I failed to get married once before,” Aleah said casually. She didn’t even realize that her words had offended Lucas.

Lucas coughed as he sipped his water. He was quite aware of the origin of the wedding dress Aleah was referring to.
