“Put an end to your relationship with my son, Aleah. You still look as young as you did ten years ago, but you can’t lie about your real age. Rafael is too young for you.”
“Papa!” rebuked Rafael.
Aleah snorted in amusement at Lucas’s warning tone. Leisurely finishing her drink, Aleah rubbed Rafael’s arm to calm his anger.
“Don’t fight with your father over me, Rafael.” Aleah rose to her feet, picked up her handbag, and walked back to Lucas with a smug smile.
“Where are you going, Aleah?” asked Rafael.
“I’m going home. You enjoy your precious time with your family, I’ll order a taxi.”
“I won’t let you go home alone,” Rafael said. He rose to his feet and grasped Aleah’s hand tightly. “If you want to go home, then I have to take you home myself.”
