Chapter 50. The Most Effective Medicine

During her marriage to Rafael, Aleah admitted that Rafael was indeed the partner she had been craving. Rafael was the right partner for her, and he was the most effective medicine to heal her heartache, or even her fever, as it had been for the past few days.

It was a little embarrassing that Aleah recovered within a day of Rafael coming home and keeping her up all night. It was as if Aleah was sick because she missed him, so she immediately recovered when Rafael finally came home.

“Thank goodness the fever has gone down. How are you feeling now?” Rafael asked with concern. He held out a spoonful of curry porridge to Aleah’s mouth.

Aleah shook her head weakly as she opened her mouth to accept the mouthful. She first swallowed her food and took a sip of the warm water in her glass, then turned to look at Rafael intently.

“I’m already fine. I’ve also started to regain my appetite,” Aleah replied quietly.

Rafael smiled and nodded his head in understanding.
