“You’re the king’s daughter?” Jade asked. “I mean, I know that you’re in the body of his daughter, Katara, but do you mean that you’re actually his daughter?” 

I gave my mom a look that made her face drop. “Yes. Katara is or should I say, was, my sister. I found out when you were knocked out. Sam impregnated my mom before he was thrown out of the pack. My mom hid it from him and told my Dalton that I was his,” I explained in a nonchalant tone, but that was far from how I actually felt. 

“Oof…” Jade clicked his tongue. “Okay, that’s that. We all know that Sam is not a good person,” He began but before he could continue, my mom stopped him. 

“No, don’t say that. He is a good person. He’s just engulfed in so much rage and pain that it has blinded him,” She defended the man. 

Jade glanced at me and I scoffed. “Really? You’re going to defend him? He locked us all in here. According to you, he has given orders to have us executed in two to three days.
