Chapter 56
“What do you want her to say? You already said it all, have you not?” Jade spoke, and Chad looked taken aback.
“I’m sorry but did I ask for your opinion?” He glared at Jade. “If I don’t ask you to speak, that means that I don’t want you to speak. Is that clear?”
Jade did not reply, he only snorted a laugh.
“That’s enough, Chad.” Sam finally joined the conversation. He stared at Jade’s stomach for a few seconds and then spoke what was going through his mind, “There should be a wound on your stomach.” He pointed out.
Jade cleared his throat and wet his lips. I could tell that he was trying his best not to look at me or hint at me in any way possible. He just sat there and stared right back at Sam.
“I’m talking to you, boy.” Sam’s voice was surprisingly calm and collected. He had a spark of annoyance in his eyes and I knew that he could snap at any moment.
