Chapter 87

“Mm-hmm,” I mumbled. “I will talk to Jade and we would think about it. But that does not mean it’s an automatic yes.” I walked towards the door and opened it. 

“Of course, but it would be lovely to have the two of you there. With my mom gone, the only family I now have is my dad and you,” She explained as she and Chad walked toward me. 

I raised my eyebrow in question and Chad made sure to clear my confusion. 

“Her dad told her that the both of you are sisters,” He told me, and I nodded slowly. 

“Alright.” I did not have much to say. I just wanted to go to bed so the day could come to an end already. “Good night to you two.” 

“Good night,” Katara replied in a cheery tone and then walked out. As for Chad, he did not bother to say it back to me. He simply followed his girlfriend out of the room.
