Chapter 47

We are back in the penthouse and Zayn and I are arguing loudly about Ashton. I am not just going sit around and let Ashton be thrown in jail for helping me save those girls, and most of all, being there for me when I was so confused and afraid about my wolf.

I had no clue as to what I was going through, and although Zayn prides himself on knowing almost everything there is to know about werewolves, it’s just not the same. He’s not one of us! 

He could not help me understand the fear and confusion I was feeling, because he has not experienced it. Ashton on the other hand has lived it. He endured shifting for the first time, and so much more.

“I have done enough, Lara!” Zayn shouts back at me as he walks away. He is heading toward the large windows, but I follow him. “I even got him house arrest instead of being placed behind bars!” 

I hear Ashton scoff, he lay on the couch here in the living room. “This gotta be a joke or something because I’m not staying,”
