Chapter 53

Looking at Ashton right now, I can feel emotions swirling in me. He knows very well what he’s doing. He’s looking at me the same way he did when we kissed for the first time at the penthouse. 

This is his wedding, he can not be doing this. 

“Lara!” I hear a familiar voice and I look behind me to see Zoe walking in our direction. She looks amazing but she is not in her wedding dress yet even though Ashton is already dressed. But her hair and make-up are already done.

“I’m so glad that you could make it,” She says to me as she pulls me in for a hug. I hug her back and I smile warmly. I have missed her dearly and it feels really good to see her again.

“What do you mean? I wouldn’t miss this wedding for the world!” I reply to her when we break the hug, and she laughs happily. She is literally glowing and looks so good. 

Ashton excuses himself as he walks to the other side of the room to a small group of people, giving us the privacy that we need.
